Description:
This limited edition 1919 Walker model from Matchbox’s Models of Yesteryear series (Y29) is finished in cream with Port of London Authority Police livery. The body and roof are cream, while the chassis and battery boxes are black. The interior features tan plastic seats and a black steering wheel. There are no opening parts or glazing.
At the front, the model displays a red cross at the top center, a cream-on-black number plate (LE 7402) at the bottom center, silver headlights, and a silver panel on the lower left. The sides feature a decal of the Port of London Authority crest just behind the cab window, printed rear body windows, and a red cross toward the back. The rear includes cast doors with a red cross on each and the word 'POLICE' printed above, along with the model’s limited edition number below the tailgate. Red rear lights appear on either side, with a black and cream number plate (LE 7402) flanked by additional red lights mounted on the chassis.
The base is held in place by a front locating lug and a rear rivet.
All wheels are one-piece plastic with a 12-spoke design, painted black along with the axles.
Variations:
The first 300 have an extra red cross on side panels and without the two crosses on rear doors. (Unconfirmed)
The serial number below the rear doors corresponds with the model certificate number.
